We have already traveled to several places and still consider it a great privilege to be able to discover the world by bike and to have the opportunity to do so.
Below you will find the individual trips with the corresponding maps. In some cases, we have added additional information to the maps.
South of the Equator 2025
This summer, we are embarking on a new adventure. We want to start on our doorstep again and spend the first few months travelling through Europe. In winter, we want to go to Colombia and then head south from there.
Corsica 2024
After a rather rainy and cool trip to Ireland, we wanted to treat ourselves to some sun in autumn and make up for the summer. A short tour to Corsica was the perfect way to do this and we can only recommend it to everyone.
Ireland 2024
After a break from cycling last year, we got back on our bikes in 2024 and explored Ireland. Even after three visits, it is still an exciting and beautiful country. However, due to the very limited and difficult wild camping options, it is only suitable for cycling to a limited extent.
Scotland 2022
After Croatia, we travelled north again in the summer of 2022. We travelled by train via Paris and London and spent a month visiting Scotland. A highly recommended cycling holiday destination if you are good at dealing with stinging insects. As camping is permitted almost everywhere, Scotland is a wonderful country to explore by bicycle.
Croatia 2021
In the summer 2021, during our summerholydays, we took the train from Zurich to Bari and there the ferry to Dubrovnik in Croatia. With our bicycles and some ferrys we traveled for about a month in Croatia. You can find the route on our map and some impressions in the blogpost under the tab Croatia.
Taking the long way around the world 2018 – 2020
A plan… The plan we had was to restart bicycle touring in Germany towards the East after my 6 months long break. As long as we enjoy (and are able to afford) it.
Our journey East was not as unbolted as Samuel’s former journey through the States and Canada, mainly because of entry regulations of countries beyond Europe. Particularly with regard to visas we had to plan ahead. The route we took lead us through: Austria, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, India, Nepal, India, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia and then Singapore. Afterwards we flew to San Francisco and cyceled further trough the West of the USA than Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and last Panama. We had planded to go further to Southamerica but Corona got in our way and we had to fly home from Panama. But we will see what the future brings.
From North to South 2017
My first big trip in 2017 took me from Anchorage to Denver in six months, first together with Nati, then with Juli and also on my own. You can find out more about the many adventures and unforgettable encounters with people and nature in the blog entries.
We travelled the routes marked in green by boat or car. The Inside Passage from Haines to Prince Rupert is particularly popular and beautiful.
